History –   

Formed effective 10 November 1954 (CAO Supp 429/55) and designated as #2537 Fort Battleford Cadet Corps. Effective 1 March 1955 affiliation was authorized to lst Battalion, The North Saskatchewan Regiment (PA&BV). Effective 5 August 1970, the Corps was re designated as #2537 Battleford Legion Cadet Corps and with the reorganization of the Militia, the North Saskatchewan Regiment became the affiliated unit in December of 1970. The Corps is sponsored by Branch 9, Royal Canadian Legion, Battlefords. This Corps was formed 10 Nov 54. It was designated 2537 Fort Battleford Cadet Corps, sponsored by Battleford Collegiate Institute School Board and affiliated with Prince Albert and Battleford Volunteers. Effective 1 Mar 55 the Corps affiliated with 1st Btn N Sask Regt (The PA & B Volunteers) (MG). Effective 18 Nov 63 sponsor was changed to ‘A’ Coy, 1st NSR CC. Effective 5 Aug 70 the Corps was re-designated Battleford Legion Cadet Corps. Upon disbandment of ‘A’ Coy, NSR, the Corps was sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 9, Battleford. In Dec 70 affiliation became NSR vice 1 NSR.
