History –   

Formed on 12 February 1913 (MO 93/13) as #390 Prince Albert Cadet Corps and affiliated with 52nd Regiment, Prince Albert Volunteers. In 1920 affiliation was changed to The North Saskatchewan Regiment and the Corps was re designated accordingly. In 1924 the Corps was re designated as #390 Prince Albert Volunteers Cadet Corps; on 17 June 1947 (CAO Supp 34/47) as #390 Prince Albert and Battleford Volunteers Cadet Corps; on 1 March 1955 (CAO Supp 476/56) #390 The 1st Battalion, The North Saskatchewan Regiment Cadet Corps; and in 1970 #390 The North Saskatchewan Regiment Cadet Corps. The Corps is sponsored by Branch #2 Royal Canadian Legion. This Corps was formed 12 Feb 1913 as the Prince Albert Cadet Corps. In 1946 it was designated the Prince Albert Volunteers Cadet Bn. Effective 17 Jun 1947 it was re-designated 390 Prince Albert Battleford & Volunteers Cadet Btn. On 1 Mar 1955 designation was again changed to lst Battalion, The North Saskatchewan Regt Cadet Corps and the Corps was re-affiliated with 1st Bn, The North Sask Regt (The PA & B Volunteers) M.G. In 1970 the affiliation became N Sask Regt vice 1 NSR. Effective 29 Apr 1970 sponsor became ‘B’ Coy, 1 Bn, North Saskatchewan Regt. A letter 1087-11 (Cdts) 29 Dec 1975 states a change of sponsorship to Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 2. In the 1977 annual report this Corps was placed on probation until 31 Dec 1977 due to poor efficiency rating at their annual inspection and probation was cancelled 1 Jan 1978. H.Q. 12-P-11
